A quick note - why I voted the way I did
Obama:
Will my taxes go up once I finish school and start a business (if I'm that lucky)?
Is Obama going to take my guns away?
Will the scope of government grow ever larger and intrude into the average person's life?
Will Obama appoint nonpartisan judges who will not try to amend the constitution?
Will Joe the Plumber's theory be proven true?
McCain:
The Amnesty candidate
His choice of a running mate was probably the biggest joke in modern day politics
A foreign interventionist and wants to use the military in cases other than self-defense
Will continue to drag us into entangling alliances
very wishy washy when it comes to explaining his positions
Voted for the Patriot Act
These concerns and questions I listed, just to name a few, caused me to vote for Bob Barr. As a libertarian, it was understandable, but I really don't like voting third party when I can help it, since they haven't had any impact in elections (let alone a shot at winning) since 92 and 96, but Republicans aren't the party they used to be, they've been hijacked by RINOs, while Democrats believe massive intervention can cure society's ills. These were the questions and concerns that caused me as a first time voter to vote for Bob Barr, as much as I dislike him. America needs a doctor, not a lawyer, and true constitutionalist - Ron Paul

Election 2008
Ron Paul 2012 (no matter what Sarah Failin thinks she can accomplish)
So long, Sarah. Unlike the movie, I WILL forget about you, and so will everyone else.

The Unconstitutional Misappropriation of Taxpayer Dollars
It has come to my attention, as it has to millions of other people lately, about the recent disaster at Wall Street. Few people are alive today who truly remember the "roaring 20's" well. As with all types of economic systems, even the free market, although the best system currently known, is not without its pitfalls. This does not mean, however, that the government, against the constitution, can abuse our taxpayer money in such a manner as the president and congress are contemplating. Haven't the neocons and socialists in Washington done enough the last four decades?
If we just let the free market work, and let the companies go under, this whole Wall Street mess will be quick and painless. While it is a free market, there is freedom to fail too. The banks made the bad decisions by lending to people who could not realistically afford to borrow, and now they are suffering. Let the banks collapse as a lesson, so they will not make the same mistake again. If corporations know that their big brothers in Washington will rescue them at the expense of the taxpayer for their blunders, what is to discourage unwise practices on their part? Baling them out is unconstitutional and a misappropriation of the taxes people have entrusted to Uncle Sam.
